Dusty Thompson - Lead Pastor

Dusty Thompson serves as Lead Pastor at Redeemer. He started following Jesus at the age of 12 and his relationship with God became progressively more real to him in high school and when he attended Texas Tech. Dusty has been married to Amy since 1995 and they have two sons, J.J. and Roman. He graduated Texas Tech in 1994 with a B.B.A., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998 with a Master of Divinity, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2007 with a Doctor of Ministry. Dusty has a lot of fun leading Redeemer, coaching Roman's baseball team, climbing an occasional mountain, catching an occasional trout, watching Tech sports, and reading. He is still stunned that He has a wife that loves Jesus and that actually wants to watch College Gameday on Saturday mornings with him.

Joe Morrow -Worship Minister

Joe is from Moore, Oklahoma and has lived in Lubbock since 2003. He is happily married to his wife, Melanie who he met at Redeemer Church. He has lead worship for over 13 years and has been in the ministry for close to 15 years. For most of his life, he was brought up in the church but only came to a full knowledge of Jesus Christ at the age of 14. He loves reading Jonathan Edwards, Ernest Hemingway, and other classic writers as well as listening to old jazz music as much as he can. God has been continually transforming his life over the years and has grown him to see and taste that Jesus Christ is supremely valuable to all things. He longs to be a genuine follower of Christ and to lead his family and Redeemer to worship Christ in all aspects of life. Joe is currently the head of the worship and media departments at Redeemer and is excited to see the wonderful future that God has ahead for us as a Body.

Jason Davila

Jason is originally from the Dallas area. Although he was raised in a Christian home, he began to cultivate his relationship with Jesus while in college. Jason holds a bachelors degree in Music Theory from Texas Tech University (2006) and a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership from George Fox Evangelical Seminary (2010). Jason is responsible for the strategic development of Redeemer’s Gospel Communities and the training and equipping of Gospel Community leaders. He also administers care for church members and oversees the membership process. Jason married Heather in 2006 and they have one son, Thaddeus.

Kade Wilcox

Kade is originally from Nazareth, Tx. He holds a bachelors degree in History from West Texas A&M University and currently attends The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry. Kade was the pastor at Quail Baptist Church for six years and the Executive Director at Panfork Baptist Encampment for three and a half. At Redeemer, Kade leads the University Ministry and the Redeemer Leadership Network, and also helps oversee domestic Church Planting efforts, volunteer coordination, facility management, and the Redeemer websites. Kade is happily married to Lacey and enjoys being a father to Selah Rae.

Julie Eyhorn

Julie is the Administrator at Redeemer. She is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy, having studied at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She is happily married to Nick Eyhorn.

Rashard Barnes

Rashard is born and raised in Lubbock. He recently graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning. During college, Rashard lead a youth ministry for 2 years and was the president of Men of God Christian Fraternity for 2 years. He enjoys Christian hip-hop and good soulful music. His primary role at Redeemer is University Ministry. Rashard's heart is to see many students fall in love with Jesus and hold him above all things.

Nick Miersma - Missions Coordinator

Nick helps to mobilize, equip, and send believers abroad as well as caring for those who have already gone. He first began following Jesus as a sophomore in high school and has continued to grow to trust and love him in a deeper way from his college days onward. Nick has been married to Jennifer since December of 2005 and they have 3 kids (soon to be 4), Kate, Lucy, & Elliot. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and recently graduated from Southern Seminary in 2011 with a Master of Divinity.

Heather Weaver - Children's Ministry Coordinator

Heather is the Redeemer Children's Ministry Coordinator. She also loves teaching Pre-K in Lubbock ISD's Head Start program at Dupre Elementary. Heather moved to Lubbock 10 years ago from Godley, TX to get an Early Childhood Education Degree at Tech, and has been here ever since! She was a part of the University Ministry at Southcrest Baptist with Dusty and was excited to be involved in the planting and planning of Redeemer. Heather is passionate about writing gospel-centered, bible-rich curriculum for children so that they hear and learn the gospel at the earliest age possible. She loves meeting new families at Redeemer and is so thankful for all the new babies that just keep coming! Heather enjoys lattes, hot tea, good books, traveling to visit family and friends, and musicals!

Raymond Cortez - Youth Minister

Raymond Cortez is the youth minister here at Redeemer. He is a native of Lubbock and began to follow Jesus at an early age. His relationship with Jesus began increasing in a huge way during his high school years at Lubbock High. He went on to study at Lubbock Christian University to become an educator and he graduated in May of 2008. Go Chaps! Ray desires to be an obedient follower of Jesus who encourages others to go and make disciples. He has followed the Lord to many places such as two mission trips overseas and hopes to go on many more. Ray enjoys watching action movies with friends as well as grabbing some shaved ice. He is often found frequenting the local coffee shops, hanging out with friends, or reading a book.
