Children

Children at Redeemer will be included in the gospel-centered, missional family at every opportunity.  They will learn, believe, and live out the gospel alongside their family members and other members of the church body.

We believe that the parents are the first and most effective communicators of the gospel to their children. Therefore, we will focus on equipping and training parents to guide their children toward the gospel by word, deed, and intercession.  In our Children’s Small Groups and Sunday morning classes, we will support and supplement what is being taught and practiced at home.

Children’s Small Groups

Children’s small groups will meet in the homes of members where there is an adult small group scheduled at the same time.

Families will arrive at the meeting place together, fellowship, pray, and then break into an adult group and a children’s group.  The children’s group will be multi-aged and will be studying the same Biblical passage or topic as the adult smallgroup in order to promote the living out and discussing of the gospel in the everyday life of the family.

Sunday Mornings

All children will be included in the singing and praying portion of the morning worship service at Redeemer in order to affirm the truth that the Body of Christ is multi-generational and that the gospel is for everyone.  Young children will be dismissed to age-appropriate, gospel-focused classes before the sermon in order to provide parents with a peaceful, focused time to be rejuvenated by the Word.

Classes will be divided as follows:

Nursery – birth to 24 months

Foundation Learners – 2 to 3 years

Transitional Worshippers – Pre-K & Kindergarten
