Redeemer Groups

What are Redeemer Groups all about?

The best setting that we have both to care for one another and help each other grow is in our Redeemer groups. Maturity in Christ is the goal of what the church exists to do. Colossians 1:28 says:

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

We want to help someone move towards Christian maturity, regardless of where they are in the Christian journey, and this is a community project. The growth and care go together, and small groups are the best place to get that done.

How are Redeemer groups organized?

  • We study the Bible because the gospel transforms us.

  • Redeemer groups are going to be interactive and include everyone who feels comfortable talking.

  • We commit to be missional in our city and toward the nations.

  • We commit to care for one another and include new people into our family.

  • We commit to work towards multiplication.

  • Curriculum or focus of the study will be flexible (although only two options are available now).

  • Can be "open" or "tagged." Tags are not meant to exclude anyone from a group, but they can signal who you will be likely to find in that group without having to attend 20 different ones! Possible tags: university, children's small group, single, men only, women only, married.

  • Children's small groups. Children meet in the same home as their parents.  We provide a children's curriculum that studies the same text or topic as the adult group so it can be discussed and applied as a family. We'll send home a Parent Sheet each week with suggestions on how to  connect the passage to family life.  We will provide teachers to begin a children's small group at any adult group that desires one.  If some groups want to include their children in the group time that is fine with us, the more time families spend in the Word together the better!

  • Junior high and high school students. Students are free to attend any Redeemer group and can attend a group with their parents.
