We believe that parents are the first and most effective communicators of the gospel to their children. As a result, we want to come alongside and partner with parents by equipping them with helpful resources, classes, seminars, and conferences.
If you are new to Redeemer Kids we want to welcome you! Check out this welcome packet for more information about our ministry and some helpful tips for when Sunday morning drop-off is hard.
We are committed to creating a safe, fun place for children in our Sunday morning classes where we sing, dance, play, teach the Bible, communicate the gospel, and memorize the word of God. If you are planning your first visit, you can check in ahead of time!
The Redeemer Kids Ministry desires to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children. One of the ways we do this is by pointing parents to quality resources to strengthen their parenting and family worship and equip them to rightly handle challenging cultural topics. These resources are updated regularly and available for purchase at a discounted price in the Kids area.
During the summer months, many of our regular volunteers are away, so we’re looking for people to serve in Redeemer Kids from May–August on the Sundays they’re in town. It’s a fun and deeply meaningful way to spend your Sunday, a chance to practice sharing the Gospel with kids, and an opportunity to be part of the incredible work God is doing in the next generation.
We want 4th and 5th graders to make friends with other students in their grade, feel known and poured into by our staff and volunteer teachers, be excited to come to their Kids class on Sundays, and be prepared for middle school. These gatherings truly bridge the gap between elementary and middle school and create a space for kids to hear scripture being taught and learn to read the Bible for themselves.
Redeemer Kids Explore is June 8-12th from 8 am to 12 pm! It is for completed Kinder through 5th graders, and it is a week full of fun and gospel-centered content. The cost is $150 per child, and you can register now! We will worship, learn about Jesus, and enjoy lots of fun activities together!
What has been your most epic Trunk or Treat costume to date?
- Marshal and I transformed into Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler from Jurassic Park and worked very hard to contain and keep others safe from a vicious little dinosaur all night!
What is your favorite resource to share with kids and families?
- I love Devotional Dippers! I also love using scripture memory sticks to help with emotional regulation!
What are you praying for kids and families at Redeemer?
- I am praying that they would know and love Jesus and seek him above everything. I am also praying that they would see God’s nearness and goodness in all seasons of life!
What has been your most epic Trunk or Treat costume to date?
- I’ve been a ladybug for many years with a costume my mom sewed in 6th grade!
What is your favorite resource to share with kids and families?
- My favorite resource for babies to age 4 is the "Baby Believers" series and my favorite series for ages 4 and up is "Tales that Tell the Truth."
What are you praying for kids and families at Redeemer?
- Always praying Deuteronomy 6:4-7 for our families and kids - that they will love the LORD our God with all their heart, soul, and might, and that God's words would be written on their hearts. That parents will be diligent in teaching God's word to their children and will talk with them about the gospel when they sit in their house, and when they walk by the way, and when they lie down, and when they rise.
What is your favorite Kid's event and why?
- My favorite kid's ministry event is Explore camp! I love the way that we can see children learn and grow in a week and get to know each of them outside of Sunday Mornings! I find so much joy in watching them have fun while also learning about Jesus!
What is your favorite resource to share with kids and families?
- My favorite resource to share with kids and families is the gospel story bible. We use this in our classrooms at church and This is a great resource that goes through the whole bible! When I was a volunteer I was able to see kiddos engaged and learning things they had not heard yet! It is a summary of a story so they can stay focused and it also has depth and great questions along with the stories!
What are you praying for kids and families at Redeemer?
- I am praying for our Redeemer families to shepherd their children and that the Lord would be present in their lives. Parenting is hard and takes a lot of time so I want to be praying for our families to have opportunities to be still and lean on the Lord for strength. I am also praying that our families will feel cared for and that our team will do everything we can to love them well!
What has been your most epic Trunk or Treat costume to date?
- The year we did a Candyland-themed trunk!
What is your favorite resource to share with kids and families?
- My favorite resource is Heather! She has a wealth of knowledge both biblical and practical.
What are you praying for kids and families at Redeemer?
- I pray that our kids will know and love Jesus and the gospel! For parents, that they would have the tools and resources to help cultivate that relationship. And that all of our families feel supported and know Jesus is in control of all and that we can trust Him with our children completely.
What is your favorite Redeemer Kids event?
- My favorite kid's event is Trunk or Treat! I love that it brings everyone from Redeemer and the neighborhood together. Seeing everyone’s creative costumes each year is also so fun!
What are you most looking forward to in your Family Ministry Residency?
- During my Family Ministry Residency I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all the families and children at Redeemer. I am also looking forward to everything I will learn and experience over the next couple of years.
What are you praying for kids and families at Redeemer?
- I am praying that the kids at Redeemer will grow up hearing the Gospel and learning about Jesus. I pray that they will grow to know Jesus deeply. For parents, I pray that they will always turn to Jesus and know that He is in control as they are raising their children.
What is your favorite Redeemer Kids event?
- My favorite event is rEcess!
What are you most looking forward to in your Family Ministry Internship?
- I am looking forward to connecting with families and helping them feel a part of the community at Redeemer.
What are you praying for kids and families at Redeemer?
- My prayer for our kids and families is that they would know how loved they are by God and our church from the minute they walk in the doors.
